Lab Printing Guide

In order to print, you must have money on your Buck-ID.  Visit the BuckID website and click “Manage Your Buck-ID” to quickly load money onto your Buck-ID from a credit card or to find the nearest deposit station.

General Users

The following steps apply to anyone who is using the automatically logged in student account.

  1. Open the file you would like to print
  2. Select Print
  3. Select the appropriate printer (Bottom for 8.5 x 11 or Caliban for plots)
  4. Change any print settings that need changed
  5. Hit print
  6. Go to the Pharos Print Station
  7. Swipe your Buck-ID
  8. Select your print job and hit print
  9. Pick-up print job from the printer

Users with an Arts & Sciences Login

The following steps apply to anyone with an Arts & Sciences login, typically faculty, staff and design students.

Forget anything you thought you already knew about using the lab computers and lab printing.

  1. DO NOT LOG OFF FROM THE STUDENT ACCOUNT
  2. If you need to print files from the server, click the file folder icon next to the Start button (or open Computer)
    • In the address bar, enter \\shared\units\theatre\
    • When prompted, enter your Arts & Sciences username (e.g. buckeye.1) and password
  3. Open the file you would like to print
  4. Select Print
  5. Select the appropriate printer (Bottom for 8.5 x 11 or Caliban for plots)
  6. Change any print settings that need changed
  7. Hit print
  8. Go to the Pharos Print Station
  9. Swipe your Buck-ID
  10. Select your print job and hit print
  11. Pick-up print job from the printer
  12. Restart the computer when you are finished
