Past editor of Theatre Journal offers her wisdom and experience on getting published in the competitive world of academic scholarship.3. 4:30-5:30 Wexner Center for the Arts : Panel Discussion FREE EVENTFilm/Video Theatre: Panel Discussion on Contemporary Women Playwrights: Into the Twenty-First CenturyReception and Book Signing FollowsPremiere of Young Jean Lee’s Straight White Men at 8:00 PMJen Schlueter, OSU Theatre, moderates the discussion, with coeditors Penny Farfan (University of Calgary) and Lesley Ferris (Ohio State University), and contributor Melissa Lee.Penny Farfan is a professor of drama at the University of Calgary.  In addition to numerous essays on modernism and performance and contemporary women playwrights, she is the author of the highly regarded Women, Modernism and Performance (Cambridge University Press).  Her role as lead editor of Theatre Journal  ended in Dec. 2013 and she is currently  one of the editorial team for the Routledge Encyclopedia of Modernism. Jen Schlueter, OSU Theatre, moderates the discussion, with coeditors Penny Farfan (University of Calgary) and Lesley Ferris (Ohio State University), and contributor Melissa Lee.
