Penny Farfan, Professor of Drama at University of Calgary, will be in residence in the Department of Theatre. All are welcome to attend the following events:
1. 1:00—2:30 Drake 2068. Penny discusses Canadian playwright Judith Thompson’s Sled in the graduate seminar Theatre 7704.
2. 2:30-3:30 Drake 2038 Publishing in Theatre: Penny Farfan. Past editor of Theatre Journal offers her wisdom and experience on getting published in the competitive world of academic scholarship.

Jen Schlueter, OSU Theatre, moderates the discussion, with coeditors Penny Farfan (University of Calgary) and Lesley Ferris (Ohio State University), and contributor Melissa Lee.
Penny Farfan is a professor of drama at the University of Calgary. In addition to numerous essays on modernism and performance and contemporary women playwrights, she is the author of the highly regarded Women, Modernism and Performance (Cambridge University Press). Her role as lead editor of Theatre Journal ended in Dec. 2013 and she is currently one of the editorial team for the Routledge Encyclopedia of Modernism.
