Congratulations to Francesca Spedalieri (MA, '11; PhD, '17) as she was appointed to a tenure track position at State University New York Stony Brook. Her split position is with the Department of English and the Department of Women’s, Gender, and Sexualities Studies.
Elizabeth Wellman (MA, '11; PhD, '15) has accepted a tenure-track position teaching theatre history and dramatic literature in the Department of Theatre at the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
Graduate student Jessica Hughes received a Coca-Cola Critical Difference for Women Grant for Research on Women, Gender, and Gender Equity. The Women's Place, awarded $1,000 to "Far Away: Research Proposal to Study Georgia O'Keefe in New Mexico".
Executive Dean Gretchen Ritter has appointed Professor of History of Art Andrew Shelton to serve as the interim chair of the theatre department from July 1, 2020 to July 30, 2021.
