7 Ways To Say I Love You
Written by Adam Szymkowizc
Directed by Kevin McClatchy
Rehearsals begin in January.
Performances are at The Drake Performance and Event Center
Performance dates and times can be found on the OSU Theatre website.

From critically acclaimed New York playwright Adam Szymkowicz, 7 Ways to Say I Love You takes seven distinctly funny, sweet, loopy and poignant snapshots of that crazy little thing called love. From the intoxicating anticipation of securing a first date to a film noir revenge send-up to a super-charged infatuation at a park bench, this collection of stylistically adventurous short plays explores the heart, grief, pain, and humor that dances around the eternal human theme of love.

Ambience Pizza
April is a pizza shop worker. John works in an office near her store. Every day, he comes in to buy mediocre pizza because he has a crush on her. But will he ever work up the nerve to tell her how he feels?

Film Noir
A comic, twisted take on the classic narrative of the jilted lover and the brooding detective.

Mind of the Critic
A critic comes to review a play and a woman narrates his inner thoughts. At first, he's miserable, until he falls in love with the lead actress...

Moneypenny Waits
Miss Moneypenny readies herself for a date with a certain well-known international spy. Her cat tries to convince her that he isn't worth it.

The Moment
When Jane asks her boss, George, for a Christmas bonus, a powerful moment passes between them that could alter the course of both of their lives.

Smashing Eyes and Little Folded Hands
When Jamie walks by Trina and makes a passing comment about her eyes, he is startled to find that she mysteriously claims they have met before, long ago, when they were children.

John and April
John asks April to marry him -- but she says she's not ready. How long will he be willing to wait for love?

The cast will be comprised of 3 women and 2 (possibly 3) men, all of whom play multiple roles.

Forbidden Zones: The Great War
A devised new work conceived and directed by Lesley Ferris
Co-Directed by Jeanine Thompson
Roy Bowen Theatre
Rehearsals begin in January.
Performance dates and times can be found on the OSU Theatre website.

During the centenary of the USA’s 1917 entry into World War I, the Department of Theatre marks this occasion by creating a new work employing verbatim theatre. The source material is drawn from archives, contemporary documents, letters, memoirs, commissioned art, and popular music with a focus on Britain and France and their famous Somme Offensive, the largest battle on the Western Front.

In addition to the MFA actors, the directors invite students—an additional 4 to 7 positions-- to audition for the performance ensemble. Physical movement, singing and ability to play multiple roles are required.

Heathers: the musical
Book, Music and Lyrics by Kevin Murphy and Laurence O’Keefe
Based on the original motion picture screenplay by Daniel Waters
Directed by Mandy Fox
Thurber Theatre
Rehearsals begin in January.
Performance dates and times can be found on the OSU Theatre website.

From the writers of REEFER MADNESS and BATBOY THE MUSICAL, based on the cult classic movie, comes HEATHERS THE MUSICAL! Join us for this laugh-out-loud comedy and unflinching look at the joys and anguish of high school. It will be so “very”.
Auditionees are strongly encouraged to watch the Movie, "Heathers" and read the script prior to auditions.

InterACT
Directed by Elizabeth Wellman
In partnership with UCAT, the OSU Theatre’s Outreach and Engagement troupe seeks adventurous performers to be creative ambassadors for OSU Theatre’s work with educators, community partners, and venues.

InterACT is looking for 10-12 performers interested in working collaboratively to form a theatre ensemble working to: devise and perform interactive new works, develop and strengthen improv skills, develop new theatre with outreach partnerships, and create interactive theatre for social change.
All InterACT cast members enroll in Theatre 3921S for 3 credit hours. ALL rehearsals take place during scheduled class time (T/R 3:00-5:05 PM). InterACT members CAN also be cast in main stage productions without conflict.
This is a great way to develop your acting/ improv skills, gain practical work experience, and give something back to fellow Ohioans! For more information see “The Interact Theatre Project for Social Change” on Facebook
