It is inspired by an installation on July 1, 2016 in the United Kingdom that acknowledged the centenary of the beginning of the Battle of the Somme. The Ohio State event will feature more than twenty uniformed men and women who will march into position, stand or sit silently, and hold that position, before moving on to the next site. As they march from site to site, they will sing "We're here because we're here," sung by the British as they entered battle at Somme.
