Professor Mark Shanda has announced that he will retire from the university at the end of August, after 31 years of service. During his illustrious career Mark has served as resident technical director, associate chair, season producer, and chair of the Department of Theatre; and divisional dean of the arts and humanities in the College of Arts and Sciences. He will begin a new adventure as Dean of the College of Fine Arts at the University of Kentucky in Lexington.
Please join us for wine and hors d'oeuvres on Friday, August 18, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. on the Thurber Theatre stage in the Drake Performance and Event Center as we celebrate and recognize Mark's many years of service to the department, college, and university. A brief program will start at 5:30 p.m.
