Teachers who wish to take part in this Professional Development run by the Royal Shakespeare Company will be selected on a first come, first serve basis, with preference given to teachers who book a school matinee for their students.
There will be a waiting list once all of the 25 places are filled. Those on the waiting list will be informed immediately if a place becomes available.
The Professional Development will focus on using Shakespeare’s King Lear in the classroom with reference to the Young People’s Shakespeare production of King Lear that will run from October 31 through November 10 in the Roy Bowen Theatre at Ohio State University.

To reserve a place for the Professional Development Day AND a matinee performance, please email Rachel Barnes, OSU Department of Theatre Box Office Manager, at barnes.209@osu.edu. Please include the following information:
- Your name
- Your school
- The best way to contact you (email, cell phone, school phone, etc.)
- The number of students you wish to bring (approximate)
- The number of teachers/chaperones you wish to bring (limit of 1 per 10 students)
- The grades of the students you wish to bring
- Your FIRST, SECOND and THIRD preference for the matinee performance.
If you wish to bring more than 250 students or you wish to bring multiple groups on different days, please indicate #4, #5, #6 and #7 for EACH GROUP you wish to bring.
