Jeanine Thompson is a modern dancer, actor, mime artist and educator, who specializes in interdisciplinary creation and the performance of movement theatre works. She is an Associate Professor and Head of the Acting & Directing program in the Department of Thaetre at OSU. Her most recent solo creation is a work entitled Breaking the Current: Ms. Toad's Wild Ride Through the Twists and Turns of a Psychedelic Journey of Life. Ms. Thompson's artistic studies include the University of Utah's Modern Dance and Theatre Departments, The Ohio State University's Department of Dance, the American Conservatory Theatre of San Francisco, director and creator Anne Bogart and the SITI company, and the French mime artist Marcel Marceau.

She has toured her solo performances nationally and internationally since 1980. Most recently she conducted a residency and performance in Concepcion, Chile as one of the Ohio Arts Council's International Residency Artists. Her classes include: Fundamentals of Movement, Laban for Actors, Viewpoints Training, Suzuki Acting Training, Mime: Marcel Marceau and Etienne Decroux techniques, Composition for Actors and Devising.
