During the last academic year Joe Brandesky produced, directed and acted in Chekhov’s The Cherry Orchard (Spring 2004). Brandesky and Brad Steinmetz attended weekly construction meetings during the renovation of Reed Hall. He co-curated (with Helena Albertova) and organized an exhibit entitled Metaphor and Irony 2: Frantisek Troster and Contemporary Czech Theatre Design. This exhibit was framed and crated at OSU—Lima in July 2004. It will be shown at Bowling Green State University (August-September 2004), the University of Toledo (September-October 2004) and Ohio State University—Columbus (November-December 2004). In February 2005 the exhibit will travel to the McNay Museum of Art and the University of the Incarnate Word (San Antonio, TX). During Winter and Spring 2004 Brandesky served as contributing editor of the catalog for the Metaphor and Irony 2 exhibit.
