Following are the existing gift opportunities in the Department of Theatre. Working with our Development Officer, you will be able to develop gift opportunities that match your interests.
American Playwrights Theatre Scholarship in Playwriting
(#200151)
Income provides scholarship to students who have demonstrated
exceptional talent and ability in dramatic writing. It may also provide funding
for a guest playwright to be in residence to teach playwriting and participate
in the production program of the Department of Theatre.
Gerald R. Black Memorial Scholarship Fund (#200570)
Income provides a scholarship for a student in the Department of Theatre,
preferably a playwright.
Roy H. Bowen Scholarship Fund (#200675)
Income provides scholarships for undergraduates with exceptional talent and
ability in theatre.
Francis W. Davis Fellowship for the Department of Photography and Cinema (#201580)
Income supports a graduate fellowship in cinema or video with preference
to a student whose major area is studio, laboratory, historical, or theoretical
studies in cinema or in video. The selected student must be an enrolled candidate
for the master of Arts degree in cinema.
Department of Theatre Development (#202670)
Funds to be used at the discretion of the chairperson for department
needs.
Jacobson Theatre Fund (#201117)
To support special projects and initiatives of the theatre department.
Robert Eugene Johnson Memorial Scholarship (#203449)
Income provides scholarships for juniors and/or seniors majoring in
theatre with at least a 2.5 cumulative grade-point average.
John C. Morrow Memorial Fund (#205041)
Income provides research/travel grants for students in the Department
of Theatre.
Scarlet Mask Alumni Fund (#206345)
Income provides a cash award for a student of theatre to recognize
distinction or good performance.
Michael Swink Memorial Scholarships in Theatre (#207100)
Income provides scholarships for students who have demonstrated exceptional
talent and ability in theatre in the areas of stage lighting, sound and/or
stage design.
Kirby Kennedy Wyatt II Scholarship Fund in Theatre Technology and Design (#203710)
Income provides one or more scholarships to undergraduate students who
have demonstrated exceptional talent and ability in theatre and who are pursuing
a major in theatre technology in the area of set, costume, lighting, or sound
design.
