The Ohio State University Department of Theatre welcomes Kristine as the new resident costume designer, beginning Autumn 2003. She received her MFA in Costume Design from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1985 and is a member of the USAA Local #829, New York City. Kristine has designed costumes for the stage with the Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Cincinnati Playhous-in-the-Park, Nebraska Repertory Theatre, The Cleveland Playhouse, Indiana Repertory Theatre, Willamette University Theatre, and Denison University. She has also worked on a number of films as Set Costumer and Tailor/Seamstress. Some of her film credits include The Shawshank Redemption, Driving Miss Daisy, and Fried Green Tomatoes. Kristine has won the Meritorious Achievement Award in Costume Design from the Amercian College Theatre Festival for On The Verge...or the Geography of Yearning, Willamette University Theatre and has had two major exhibits featuring costumes, costume accessories and renderings from productions produced and commissioned by the Alabama Shakespeare Festival. She teaches courses in costume design, costume construction, and costume history.
