Current Research and Creative Activity

Laura Sipe was excited to teach TH 602: Stage Management for the department in Autumn 2001. This was her first experience as an instructor, and she looks forward to facing the challenge again in Autumn 2002. Also in the fall Laura was invited to participate as a panelist in the "Focus On Obesity: Options For Management” conference, which was sponsored by the OSU Center for Wellness and Prevention (OSU CWP) at the Hyatt on Capitol Square. Laura represented those who had successfully managed their weight through traditional diet and exercise means. In the winter of 2002, the OSU CWP invited Laura to be interviewed by Channel 10 for a “Heart to Heart” special. Her weight loss story was featured as part of the “Commit to Be Fit” segment. This year Laura followed in the footsteps of Julia Weiss and Jim Knapp by beginning a 3-year appointment to the College of the Arts’ Staff Grant Committee.
