November 22 at 7 PM
Thurber Theatre
Solo performing artist Spaulding Gray, who died in 2004,
is known for his provocative, whimsical, autobiographical works. He is considered
a major figure as a new works creator. The Department of Theatre recognizes
his contribution to performance with this memorial. Chuck Helm (Wexner
Center for the Arts who produced Gray several times in Columbus) and Rick
Livingston (Humanities Institute) will speak about his influence and a screening
of his critically acclaimed Swimming to Cambodia will follow.
