During the Civil War Officer Blacksmith, the mulatto leader of an "all-colored" Union Army regiment, discovers $3 million - the proceeds from slave auctions - stashed away in an abandoned Southern mansion. To protect his loot, Blacksmith murders a family of freed slaves that stumbles upon the find; but before dying, the wife places a curse on the officer. The subsequent tales follow the curse's impact on ensuing generations of Blacksmiths who exhibit the same propensity for greed. Featuring Equity guest artist Hermann Lavern Jones.
