Community Center and On Tour to Local Schools
Directed by Ann Farrelly
A 40-minute ensemble piece by Lesley Ferris for touring to middle and high schools. This evocative work selects the charged and terrifying moment when Anne Frank is arrested. It looks at the way her story survived via her diaryscattered papers on the floor of the Annex attic which her Nazi captors thought were insignificant and worthless. Her friend and protector, Miep Geis, however, was determined to keep them for Anne for after the war. Co-sponsored by the Melton Center for Jewish Studies.
