Emphasis: Light Design
Nikki Heinlein is in her third year at The Ohio State University majoring in theatre with an emphasis on Light Design. She has been an electrician for the department on shows such as Wit, Elektra, Uncommon Clay, The Shoemaker’s Holiday, Division Street, The Memory of Water, and Porcelain. She was an Assistant Production Electrician for Saint Joan of the Stockyards and the Production Electrician for Comic Potential. Nikki has been a designer for Mad Lab’s Theatre Roulette. She worked with Joey Schultz in Winter 2003 designing his senior distinction piece The Book of Boyhood in Ohio State’s New Works Lab.
This spring she will be designing for Collin Sweet’s
senior distinction piece, A Light To Live By. She will also be the
Assistant Production Electrician for the department’s production of
The Fire Still Burns. In addition to working with the theatre department,
Nikki is busy creating, with other “soon-to-be” senior women in
the theatre department, a new theatre company - WET Co. (Women’s Explosive
Theatre). She will also be moving to New York this summer to be in charge
of props at Long Lake Summer Camp for the Performing Arts where they produce
over 30 shows a summer.
