Brittany Kiefer is an undergraduate theatre major with intention to graduate in the spring of 2007. Her theatre interests lie in Design/Technology and Directing. Her work in the department includes: Assistant Stage Manager for The Rimers of Eldritch, Lighting Console Operator for Pentecost, Wardrobe Head for Measure for Measure, Assistant Production Electrician for Two Planks and a Passion, and Mrs. Loomis in Inherit the Wind. She has also worked for two years with The Vagina Monologues as Stage Manager, Designer and Performer.
During the summer of 2005 she studied abroad in London, England and worked as an intern for Mahogany, a carnival arts company focusing on carnival and street theatre costuming. Her specific work included constructing the costumes and accessories for the Notting Hill Carnival, London. She also had the privilege to play mas in the carnival. The experience of working with such a unique and diverse company was invaluable and she hopes to work in similar settings in the future. After graduation Brittany plans to continue her education in Theatre through working in the business and has hopes to eventually attend graduate school.
